Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Matvey Pavlov (ranked 7724 p4p, 583 weight class) and Vitali Saromenko (ranked 9054 p4p, 623 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matvey Pavlov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Vitali Saromenko!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Saromenko, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Pavlov drops down looking for a counter takedown but Saromenko sprawls and moves away.
Pavlov drives through with a takedown into guard.
Saromenko is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Pavlov wants to control from the top but Saromenko keeps moving.

Pavlov won't allow Saromenko to sweep him here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pavlov seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Pavlov won't allow Saromenko to get back to his feet.
Pavlov might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Pavlov postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Saromenko is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Pavlov, into his guard.

Pavlov pulls Saromenko in close to prevent any damage.
Saromenko tries to stand but Pavlov is controlling from the bottom.
Saromenko has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Pavlov to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Saromenko is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Pavlov pulls down on the head and he's put Saromenko to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Matvey Pavlov!
