Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Raymond Leeroy (ranked 8133 p4p, 716 weight class) and Mason Hodge (ranked 8081 p4p, 710 weight class). Mason Hodge has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Raymond Leeroy's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Raymond Leeroy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mason Hodge! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Winston Alpacca and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Leeroy throws a series of strikes that have Hodge backpedaling.
Leeroy displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hodge. This fight brought to you by 5M nutrition - it's mmmmm tasty. Nice jab by Leeroy. A jab from Leeroy does it's job there. Hodge takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Leeroy misses with a right hand so Hodge counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hodge is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Hodge trying to control the position from guard on top but Leeroy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hodge preventing the sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hodge avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Hodge distracts Leeroy with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hodge controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Hodge pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Leeroy is keeping the position for now. Leeroy tries to land a sweep but no joy. Leeroy manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hodge manages to get himself to full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Hodge is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Leeroy slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Leeroy working away. Leeroy is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hodge is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Hodge sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Leeroy is looking for a kimura but Hodge is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Leeroy to get the leverage. Hodge moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hodge is on top in guard.
Hodge controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hodge passes Leeroy's left leg - he's now in half guard. Hodge wants to free his trapped foot but Leeroy is holding on for dear life with his legs. Hodge is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Hodge is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Leeroy is pressing down on Hodge's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Leeroy keeping moving, preventing Hodge from controlling successfully. Hodge landing some decent shots from guard. Hodge avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Mason Hodge will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Leeroy rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

Hodge creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Hodge tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Hodge landing a few strikes. Hodge is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Leeroy looks calm but he's in trouble here. Hodge gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Leeroy is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Hodge lets go of the hold and Leeroy can pop his arm back in it's socket.
