Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mystery Perfect (ranked 3220 p4p, 449 weight class) and Dante Firm (ranked 2857 p4p, 406 weight class). Dante Firm told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Firm looks to score with a jab to the body but Perfect is just out of range.
Firm throws an off balance right hand
and Perfect counters with a thumping low kick.
Firm misses with a straight right.
Perfect lands a nice looking body kick.

Dante Firm seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Perfect counters with a single leg into guard. Firm didn't expect that.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Perfect loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Perfect lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Firm wants to sweep here but Perfect controlling him for the moment.

Perfect got a little sloppy there for a moment and Firm has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Perfect has managed to get both his arms back between Firm's legs - danger averted.
Perfect throws a strike but Firm rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Perfect is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Mystery Perfect overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Firm has his foot on Perfect's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Perfect works his way back into a safe position though.

Firm pushes a forearm under Perfect's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Perfect is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Dante Firm!
As Dante Firm got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: I am back.'.
Mystery Perfect spoke after the fight, saying 'The fight was too easy and boring, and since my opponent looked like he really wanted the W, I thought I'd put on a show and give him the W.The line's getting longer. Better get back to pleasing them single and taken ladies before they go crazy'.
