Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ganny Kogir!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Grigori Rasputin!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Winston Alpacca and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rasputin just misses with a punch to the body.
Kogir pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Rasputin tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kogir was well out of range. Poor timing from Rasputin.
Rasputin looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Rasputin jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Grigori Rasputin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rasputin works Kogir's body with a nice hook.
Kogir walks into a stiff left hand from Rasputin.
Rasputin connects with a body shot.
Rasputin waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Kogir.
Kogir takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Rasputin listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.


It looks like Ganny Kogir has been cut.
Rasputin misses with a lunging right hand
and Kogir counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Good standup being displayed there by Rasputin as he connects with a hook.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Rasputin feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Kogirs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Kogir takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Kogir takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Kogir uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rasputin.
Kogir is looking to counter the offense by Rasputin and move into the clinch.
Rasputin looks to throw the jab but Kogir is out of range.

Rasputin punishes Kogir's body with a nice straight punch.

Rasputin takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Rasputin swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Kogir is looking to clinch.
Rasputin is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Kogir had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Rasputin connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Kogir momentarily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

It looked like Kogir wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Rasputin missing with a left hand there. Kogir was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Rasputin lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Kogir takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Rasputin swings for the body but Kogir moves out of range.

Kogir loads up on a big right hand but Rasputin slips the punch.
Rasputin looks to score with a jab to the body but Kogir is just out of range.
Kogir moves forwards but Rasputin connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Rasputin uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kogir.
Kogir looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Rasputin misses with a right hand
and Kogir cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Kogir is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Rasputin connects with a right hand. Kogir shakes it off.


Kogir is rocked!
Kogir is looking to clinch.
Rasputin thuds a left hand into Kogir's body.
Kogir loads up on a big right hand but Rasputin slips the punch.
Kogir throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
No joy there for Kogir, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rasputin misses with a hook to the body
and Kogir counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Kogir bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Kogir tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Kogir moves out of range as Rasputin strikes.
Rasputin stuns Kogir with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
A jab from Rasputin misses.
Rasputin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kogir moves away.
Kogir is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Rasputin.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Rasputin thuds his right hand into Kogir's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Rasputin lands with a right hand.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kogir throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Rasputin looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Rasputin thuds a left hand into Kogir's body.
Rasputin lands with an overhand left.
Kogir walks into a jab.
Rasputin cracks Kogir on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Kogir falls backwards against the cage. Rasputin follows up with more strikes that drop Kogir to his knees. Rasputin keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Kogir! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Grigori Rasputin!
