Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Biante (ranked 4546 p4p, 505 weight class) and Dan The Beast (ranked 5512 p4p, 594 weight class). The Beast has chosen I'm Broken as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Bruce Biante has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Bruce Biante seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bruce Biante!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dan The Beast!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Biante throws out a leg kick but The Beast moves out of range and Biante only half commits.
The Beast fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
The Beast keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Biante.
The Beast throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Biante stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
The Beast uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Biante.
Biante has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Biante fails to land with a series of punches.
The Beast on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
The Beast staying out of range there.
The Beast is looking to clinch.
The Beast is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
The Beast cracks Biante with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
The Beast stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.


It looks like Bruce Biante has been cut.
Nice uppercut there from The Beast.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
The Beast lands a jab to Biante's midsection.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Good leg kick by The Beast there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
The Beast is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Biante misses with a leg kick

and The Beast counters with a nice double leg into side control. Biante won't be happy with that.

The Beast is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Biante looks calm but he's in trouble here. The Beast gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Biante is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! The Beast lets go of the hold and Biante can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Dan The Beast!
An out of breath Dan The Beast thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
