The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meyer takes a swing at Gutz's ribcage but misses.
Gutz closes the distance and pushes Meyer back into the cage.
Gutz with a knee to the head.
It looks like Oscar Meyer has been cut.
Gutz tries a knee to the head but Meyer blocks it.
Gutz utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Meyer looks winded!
Gutz turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Gutz manages to end up in side control.
Gutz is working to tighten his grip on Meyer's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Meyer has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Gutz is really squeezing tight and eventually Meyer passes out! Gutz breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Apollo Gutz!
A very excited looking Apollo Gutz rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
