Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Delbert Hines (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kanta King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kanta King has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Delbert Hines! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kanta King! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Chris Dean and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! King moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
King shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Hines is in trouble now - King has advanced to mount! Hines is controlling an arm, preventing King from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
King can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hines is looking to escape. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. King throwing strikes but Hines uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. King not doing much here.
King decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. King takes the fight into the clinch. Hines's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. King with a knee to the head.
Hines goes for a takedown in the clinch but King prevents it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. King jumps guard and drags Hines to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Hines slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. King is adopting a defensive guard. Hines wants to control from the top but King keeps moving. King looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. King pulls Hines in close to his closed guard and prevents Hines from doing any damage or advancing position. King wants to get back to his feet but Hines passes into half guard.
Hines tries to pass to full mount but King defends it. King is staying active underneath Hines, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Hines could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. The fighters are battling for position here. King manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Hines is fighting to break King's control of his arms but King is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Hines engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. King had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hines defends it easily.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. King closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hines to the mat! Hines manages to get full guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hines keeping moving, preventing King from controlling successfully. King gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kanta King dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
King drives through with a takedown into guard. King tries to free his leg and advance position but Hines is retaining full guard. Hines has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but King can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. King is stalling in the full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. King wants to control from the top but Hines keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hines looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. King gets to his feet. Hines looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! King feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. King works a leg free and moves into half guard. King has been the more effective fighter overall so far. King is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. King seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hines does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Hines might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. King is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
King wants to stand up but Hines manages to regain full guard. Hines had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. King defends it easily. King throws an elbow that misses. Hines uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in King's guard. Nice move by Hines!
That's three minutes gone in the round. King pulls Hines in to control the position. King is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hines is aware though and is defending well. King trying to control the position.
King looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hines is one step ahead there. King wants to hit a switch here but Hines passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for King there! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Hines takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Hines is looking to work his way around to King's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hines controlling his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kanta King showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Hines throws a lazy right hand but King sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for King. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. King closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hines to the mat! Hines manages to get full guard. King postures up.
King advances position into side control! The ground and pound from King seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. King tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. King wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hines keeps working. King sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Hines is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. King tries to advance to mount but can't. King has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Kanta King seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. King looking to score a takedown here. Hines is defending well but King drives through and ends up in Hines's guard. King trying to control the position from guard on top but Hines is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. King trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. King trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. King wants to control from the top but Hines keeps moving. Hines wants to sweep but no luck. King slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Hines utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Hines misses with a head kick.
King closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Hines's guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Hines working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from King.
That's three minutes gone in the round. King seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. King trying to control the position from guard on top but Hines is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. King is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. King pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hines is keeping the position for now. King wants to control from the top but Hines keeps moving. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Hines keeping full guard, as King tries to pass.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. King drives through with a takedown into guard. King stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hines swivels though and keeps the full guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! King trying to control the position from guard on top but Hines is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
And that's the end of the fight! Kanta King comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well King has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
