Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Frankie Escudero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ross Winner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Escudero tries to clinch there but Winner circles away.
Winner shoots in for a double leg but Escudero sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Winner moves out of range as Escudero throws a body kick.
Escudero tries to keep at a distance but Winner has taken the fight into the clinch. Winner goes for a takedown in the clinch but Escudero prevents it.

He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Winner trying to keep a closed guard but Escudero is proving a slippery customer.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Winner tries to land a sweep but no joy. Winner looking for subs off his back but Escudero has passed one foot through into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. A nice elbow there by Escudero. Escudero has control of Winner's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Winner regains control of the situation pretty easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Winner is looking to improve his position but Escudero isn't that keen on the idea. He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Winner has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Winner! That was a close fourth round but I would say that Frankie Escudero will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
