Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pete Blowkarski (ranked 24045 p4p, 777 weight class) and Bonzela Franco (ranked 22839 p4p, 715 weight class). Blowkarski comes to the cage accompanied by Chop Suey. Franco has chosen Anti Heroi as his entrance music. Pete Blowkarski has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Pete Blowkarski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bonzela Franco! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Franklyn Lucas and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blowkarski tries a head kick but it misses.
Franco lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Blowkarski backs up against the cage.
Jab, jab by Franco - just one landing. Blowkarski lands a nice leg kick that just misses Franco's sensitive parts. Blowkarski pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Franco tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Blowkarski defends well and Franco ends up having to push Blowkarski into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Franco shoots in for a takedown but Blowkarski shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Blowkarski throws a sloppy head kick and Franco moves out of range easily. Franco misses with the combination.
Blowkarski throws a nice looking combination but Franco bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Franco takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. This has been an exciting period of action! Franco looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Blowkarski! Franco tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Franco tries to move to full mount but Blowkarski actually manages to regain half guard.

Still in half guard, Franco seems content to control. Franco missing with the ground and pound from half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Franco is working for a kimura but Blowkarski is defending it quite comfortably.
Franco looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Blowkarski's coaches at School of Hard Knocks have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position. Franco trying to control from Blowkarski's half guard. Blowkarski has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Franco trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Franco looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Franco goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
It looks like Pete Blowkarski has been cut.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Franco darts in looking for a takedown but Blowkarski gets double underhooks and turns Franco into the cage. As Franco looks to move away, Blowkarski throws a big counter combo but Franco just gets out of the way. Pete Blowkarski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bonzela Franco. Franco clinches up against the cage. Franco keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Blowkarski's efforts to push away. Franco tries to pull guard but Blowkarski holds him up against the cage and eventually Franco drops back down to his feet.

A counter left hand to the body from Blowkarski misses its target. Blowkarski tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Blowkarski swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Blowkarski stuffs the takedown attempt from Franco. Franco gets slowly back to his feet. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Franco is looking to clinch. Franco has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight. A nice leg kick lands there from Franco. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Franco checks a leg kick. Blowkarski throws a head kick that Franco semi-blocks.
This has been an exciting period of action! Blowkarski pivots, looking for a leg kick but Franco is out of range and Blowkarski settles back down. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Pete Blowkarski will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Pete Blowkarski's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Franco takes the fight into the clinch. Franco tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Blowkarski smiles and moves away.
Blowkarski throws a head kick that misses. Franco smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Blowkarski tries to keep at a distance but Franco has taken the fight into the clinch. Franco tries to pull guard but Blowkarski won't allow it.

That's going to take a lot out of Bonzela Franco. Franco breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Blowkarski finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
The fight stays on the outside here - Franco looks like he's thinking about clinching though. It looked like Blowkarski was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Blowkarski pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Blowkarski throws a combination that misses and Franco counters with a three punch combo that has Blowkarski backing up. Blowkarski nods at Franco to acknowledge the strikes. An inside leg kick from Blowkarski misses. Franco changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Franco misses with a jab, cross combination.
Franco moves into range and clinches up with Blowkarski. Blowkarski is trying to push Franco away but Franco has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Franco tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Blowkarski smiles and moves away.

Franco misses with a takedown attempt - Blowkarski sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Pete Blowkarski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Blowkarski uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Franco.
Bonzela Franco seems to be getting the better of the standup. Blowkarski thuds a left hand into Franco's body. Franco is breathing heavily. Blowkarski tries a head kick but it misses.
Despite the aggression on Franco's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Franco tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A punch combination from Blowkarski misses.

Blowkarski throws a counter high kick but Franco was just alert enough to avoid it. This has been an exciting period of action! Franco tries to close the distance and clinch up but Blowkarski swats him away and circles back towards the center. Blowkarski throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Blowkarski paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Blowkarski throws a head kick but Franco moves out of range.
Franco takes the fight into the clinch. Franco lands an elbow that stopped Blowkarski in his tracks for a moment. A body shot lands from Blowkarski.

Franco has Blowkarski pressed against the cage, preventing Blowkarski from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Blowkarski is trying to force a seperation but Franco has the dominant position. Franco blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Blowkarski wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Franco lands with a short shot to the head. Franco lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Blowkarski backwards.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Franco jumps guard.
Oh Blowkarski is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Franco looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Franco throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Blowkarski distracts Franco with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Blowkarski seems to have got his legs back now. Franco pushes Blowkarski off and gets back to his feet.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Franco. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Franco feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Blowkarski's calf. Franco swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Blowkarski drops Franco with a beautiful combination! Franco stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Blowkarski is looking for the KO!
Franco is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Ohhhhhhhhhh, brutal head kick from Blowkarski! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Pete Blowkarski! After winning the bout, Pete Blowkarski thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility. In defeat, Bonzela Franco stepped up to the mic, saying 'I will fight again and i will win'.
