Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tito Maas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnathan Lawler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnathan Lawler will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tito Maas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Johnathan Lawler! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Daniel Franklin and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Maas is defended easily by Lawler. Lawler avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Lawler closes the distance and clinches. Maas on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Lawler tries to land knees in the clinch but Maas avoids the damage to the body. Maas could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Maas can't get the takedown.
Maas ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Maas no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Lawler stands up from Maas's guard - Lawler perhaps looking for a knockout. Lawler takes the fight into the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lawler's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Lawler clinches up against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Maas stalling the fight.
Maas takes a knee to the side of the body. Lawler breaks from the clinch.
Maas shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lawler as he jumps to the side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tito Maas. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lawler misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Lawler is trying hard to land a takedown here. Maas sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Lawler moves into range and clinches up with Maas. Lawler escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A shot to the liver by Lawler. Beautiful body shot. Lawler shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Maas defends it nicely. Maas is looking for a counter combo. Maas tries to close the distance and clinch but Lawler swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Lawler scores with a nice strike.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Maas clinches up against the cage. Maas tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Lawler just stands there and leans against the cage. Lawler doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Lawler is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Lawler pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Lawler displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Maas. A countering left hand to the body from Lawler misses. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lawler keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Maas moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromLawler. Lawler fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Maas avoids it really well and circles away. Lawler fails to land with a series of punches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lawler closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Lawler breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Maas looks for a takedown but Lawler sprawls well. Lawler gets the takedown into side control. Maas is breathing heavily. Maas managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Lawler.
Lawler lands some shots froms side control. Lawler decides to stand back up. Lawler steps back and let's Maas get back to his feet. Lawler closes the distance and clinches. Lawler blocks a body shot from Maas. Lawler working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lawler's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Maas fails miserably with a takedown attempt. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Maas will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Lawler fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Maas, pushing him back against the cage. Lawler breaks from the clinch.
Maas fails to land the takedown. Lawler rushes Maas and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Lawler pulls guard successfully.
Maas trying to control the position from guard on top but Lawler is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Johnathan Lawler dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Horrible takedown attempt by Lawler or perhaps it was just good defense by Maas, which made it look bad. Maas avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Maas lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Lawler has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Lawler and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Johnathan Lawler seems to be getting the better of the standup. Maas looks for a takedown but Lawler sprawls well. Maas changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lawler tries to avoid it but Maas manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lawler to the ground. Lawler escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Lawler bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Maas's head backwards. Maas throws an overhand right that lands on Lawler's shoulder, as Lawler tries to avoid the shot. Lawler moves into the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Maas wants to break free but Lawler has control.
Lawler throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Maass head. Lawler unloads a knee to the mid-section. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Lawler creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Maas's defenses. Lawler successfully pulls guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lawler not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Maas sitting in guard here, content to control. Maas looking to sit in guard and control but Lawler gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Lawler postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Maas escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lawler gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Lawler postures up and lands a big shot to Maas's brow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lawler tries to free his leg and advance position but Maas is retaining full guard. Lawler keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Maas's head. Lawler not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Lawler gets slowly back to his feet. Tito Maas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnathan Lawler. Lawler shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Maas's guard. Maas is looking to stand back up but Lawler counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Maas. Maas pushes Lawler off looking to stand but Lawler dives back in and keeps control.
Lawler is looking to take a break and control but Maas is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Maas won't allow Lawler to pass to mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lawler lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Lawler uses his free foot to push down on Maas's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Maas. Lawler dominating with strikes here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lawler looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Maas might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Maas regains half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Maas tries to roll over but Lawler keeps him under control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Johnathan Lawler showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Lawler lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Maas sizes up Lawler with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Lawler throws a shot to the body.
Lawler will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That's one minute gone in the round. Maas throws a series of punches but Lawler moves out of range. Lawler has closed the distance and engaged Maas in a clinch.
Lawler lands a right hand that snaps the head of Maas backwards. Lawler misses with a body punch.
Maas has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Lawler jumps guard but Maas stands there with Lawler around his waist. Lawler gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Maas has Lawler pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Lawler manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Lawler scores with a hook to the body. Lawler cracks Maas with a nice body shot. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Maas is trying to pull guard but Lawler has him pressed against the cage. Maas tries to score a body lock takedown but Lawler shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Maas is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Lawler's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Johnathan Lawler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lawler darts in and clinches Maas up against the cage. Lawler swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Johnathan Lawler seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Maas letting Lawler take a breather here. Lawler has picked Maas up - he's going for a ride! Lawler dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Maas scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Lawler manages to mount him!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Maas tries to hold on but Lawler pushes him away. Lawler lands a big elbow. Lawler lands a heavy elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lawler lands a nice shot to the head. The referee warns Maas that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Maas is rocked! Lawler postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Maas in real trouble here! The ref calls for Maas to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:32 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Johnathan Lawler!
