Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Brophy (ranked 800 p4p, 95 weight class) and Rian MacFarlane (ranked 1504 p4p, 182 weight class). Brophy comes to the cage accompanied by The Grumpy Song. MacFarlane has chosen The Foggy Dew as his entrance music. Bob Brophy has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacFarlane misses with the combination.
MacFarlane jabs at Brophy's body.
MacFarlane cracks Brophy with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
MacFarlane fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

And Brophy counters with a quick kick to the body but MacFarlane blocks it.

Brophy was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Rian MacFarlane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
MacFarlane connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from MacFarlane.

It looks like Rian MacFarlane has been cut.

MacFarlane throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Brophy stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

We've been informed that MacFarlane has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Brophy lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down MacFarlane.
Brophy tries to work over MacFarlane's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Brophy has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
