The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ortiz misses with a body shot.
Ortiz displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Vash throws out the jab. Vash throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ortiz sees it coming and avoids it easily. Ortiz throws a counter combo. Vash dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Vash misses with a right hand and Ortiz counters with a nice uppercut. Vash throws a lazy uppercut
and Ortiz counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Ortiz needs to keep his hands up - Vash had a free shot at his head there. Ortiz misses with a two punch combination.
Vash seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Vash forces Ortiz back against the cage and clinches. Ortiz tries to break the clinch but Vash is controlling the position. Vash lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ortiz has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Ortiz is trying to force a seperation but Vash has the dominant position. The referee is keeping an eye on Vash - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

That's one minute gone in the round. A quick uppercut on the inside from Vash. Ortiz is trying to force a seperation but Vash has the dominant position. Vash lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Ortiz or not. Ortiz tries to break the clinch but Vash is controlling the position. Vash stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Ortiz is rocked! Vash lands a big right hand that drops Ortiz! The killer instinct kicks in and Vash finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Vash!
