Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Andrigues Antonio Torres ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Richard Bravo! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Ackerman and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bravo shoots in and drives through. Torres sprawls well. Torres really is a fat lump. Torres has his takedown stuffed and Bravo counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Torres ! Bravo looking for a guillotine from mount but Torres is having none of it. Torres is breathing heavily. Bravo looking to secure an arm triangle but Torres defends it well. Bravo is landing with some decent strikes but Torres is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bravo working the ground and pound effectively.
Bravo working for a submission but Torres is keeping him at bay. Bravo has hold of Torres 's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Torres manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Bravo swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Torres is now in Bravo's guard. A big mistake from Bravo there, giving up the dominant position!
That's one minute gone in the round. Bravo wants to sweep but no luck. Bravo looking for a guillotine here but Torres defends easily.
Bravo looking to hit a scissor sweep but Torres is one step ahead there. Bravo throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Torres gets to his feet - Bravo follows without any prompting. Torres has his takedown stuffed and Bravo counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bravo trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Torres has his foot on Bravo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bravo works his way back into a safe position though. Torres might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Bravo avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Bravo works a leg free and moves into half guard. Torres trying to hold on to Bravo's head to control him but Bravo postures up.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Torres tries to get to full guard but Bravo has control of the leg. Bravo is looking for a kimura here.
Torres looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bravo working Torres over with strikes. Torres actively working from the bottom here. Bravo lands strikes from half guard. Bravo is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Torres is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
