Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lary Divers (ranked 23502 p4p, 445 weight class) and Eduardo Alvarez (ranked 10836 p4p, 490 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lary Divers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
21 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Eduardo Alvarez! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Felipe Paraventi and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alvarez works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Alvarez connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Alvarez scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Alvarez jabs Divers to the body, keeping him at a distance. Alvarez lands with a nice body punch. Divers takes one on the chin but seems OK.
A jab lands there for Alvarez. Alvarez lands a nice shot to the body.
Alvarez circles away from the clinch attempt and Alvarez counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Divers misses with a combination
and Alvarez counters with a single leg into guard. Divers didn't expect that. Alvarez drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Alvarez jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Alvarez wants to pass the guard but Divers is keeping the position. Alvarez is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alvarez is pushing down on Divers's leg trying to pass to half guard. Divers is fighting to maintain full guard but Alvarez has managed to sneak the leg through. Alvarez is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Divers defends it well. Alvarez is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Alvarez takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alvarez is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Divers doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Alvarez. Alvarez in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Divers tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Alvarez!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Eduardo Alvarez! Eduardo Alvarez took to the mic after the fight and begged the organizational hierarchy for a shot at the title.
