The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zahir closes the distance and clinches up with Kalasznikov, looking for a takedown. Zahir pushes Kalasznikov against the cage but Kalasznikov circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Zahir gets caught napping as Kalasznikov dives in and scores a takedown. Zahir manages to retain guard.
Kalasznikov seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Kalasznikov stands up over Zahir, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kalasznikov slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
