Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Warner Burks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Waters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Warner Burks! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Simon Waters! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Paul Aken and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Waters shoots in and drives through. Burks sprawls well. As Waters backs away, Burks returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. Waters gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Burks to score an easy takedown into full guard. Burks postures up in Waters's guard and throws a big left but Waters blocks it. Burks postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Burks in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Burks cracks Waters with a solid left hand. Burks could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Waters has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Burks can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Burks lands a couple of decent looking shots.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Burks might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Burks with a flurry of punches that miss. Waters has momentary wrist control but Burks slips an elbow through the middle. Burks stands up over Waters, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Burks working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Waters has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Burks has passed into side control.
Burks is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Waters has escaped the position, nice work there. Burks swings around for an armbar but Waters sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Burks's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Waters trying to move into half guard but instead Burks has managed to sweep! Burks loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Waters pulls Burks in close to prevent any damage. Burks distracts Waters with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Burks lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Burks working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Burks keeps control of the position for the meantime. Waters throwing shots but Burks is blocking nicely. Burks controlling the position well. Burks continues to stall.

Burks doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Waters. Waters not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Burks is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Waters scores with a couple of nice shots.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Burks is not content to let Waters control the position. Waters is looking for a kimura here.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Simon Waters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Waters tries for a takedown but Burks sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Warner Burks has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Simon Waters. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Burks gets caught flat footed, as Waters shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Warner Burks overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Burks loads up on a big left hand. Waters felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Burks looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Waters can't hide his disappointment, as Burks celebrates the victory.
