Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sam Uri! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Royal McNamera! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Edson Gomes and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McNamera throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Uri looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. McNamera tries to clinch but Uri moves out of range. McNamera is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Uri fails to land the takedown. McNamera tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McNamera tries to clinch but Uri is having none of it. McNamera wants to clinch up but Uri keeps it at a distance. Royal McNamera seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Uri has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. McNamera avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Uri tries to pull guard but McNamera holds him up against the cage and eventually Uri drops back down to his feet.

Royal McNamera dominated that round. The cut man is working on Sam Uri's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Uri keeps the fight on the outside. Uri bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Uri tries for a kimura but McNamera is defending well. McNamera wants to get back to his feet. Uri working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's one minute gone in the round. McNamera wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Uri tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Uri taking a break here but McNamera is having none of it and regains half guard. Uri prevents McNamera from standing back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. McNamera is breathing heavily. Uri is looking to advance position but McNamera won't allow it. McNamera really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Uri. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. McNamera is not content to let Uri control the position. Uri trying to pass the guard but McNamera defending well. McNamera is staying active underneath Uri, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Uri avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
McNamera tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Uri paws at him with a jab and circles away. McNamera tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Uri looks for a takedown but McNamera sprawls well. McNamera cracks the inside of Uri's front leg. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from McNamera lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Uri has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Uri and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Uri ducks under a wild hook from McNamera. Sam Uri is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. McNamera tries to clinch up but Uri circles away and keeps his distance. Uri looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for McNamera! McNamera wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Uri looking to secure an arm triangle but McNamera defends it well. McNamera is squirming around, avoiding Uri's attempts to control the action. McNamera somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet! McNamera tries to clinch up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sam Uri dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Sam Uri's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

McNamera pushes Uri away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Uri gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. McNamera avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Uri. Uri is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, McNamera has escaped the position, nice work there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McNamera wants to get back to his feet. Uri working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Uri tries to move to mount but McNamera blocks the move with his legs. McNamera wants to get back to his feet but Uri drags him back down.

McNamera defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. McNamera is squirming around, avoiding Uri's attempts to control the action. Uri moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, McNamera has worked his arm free - good work by McNamera!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Uri tries to advance to mount but can't. Uri is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. McNamera knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. McNamera is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
And that's the end of the fight! Sam Uri showed his dominance in that final round. I think Uri has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
