Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Yoel Romero! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kenny Knight! The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Colin Fray and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Romero dodges the punch combination from Knight.
Knight throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Romero is looking to counter the offense by Knight and move into the clinch. Romero moves into the clinch successfully.
Knight prevents the takedown attempt.
Romero is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Knight is defending well. Romero changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Knight fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Knight fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Romero avoids it really well and circles away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Romero will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Knight is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Romero looking for a guillotine here but Knight defends easily.

Knight got a little sloppy there for a moment and Romero has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Knight has managed to get both his arms back between Romero's legs - danger averted. Knight stays in close to Romero's body and controls the position. Knight avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
