Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Noam Dar (ranked 25230 p4p, 971 weight class) and Anthony Nickoson (ranked 24799 p4p, 940 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nickoson closes the distance but Dar moves to the side

and Dar counters with a takedown into side control.
Nickoson can't do much from the bottom here.
Dar remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Nickoson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dar has hold of Nickoson's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Nickoson seems comfortable defending it but Dar has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Nickoson is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Nickoson is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Dar couldn't care less - he's delighted!
