Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ernest Justice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey Payne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ernest Justice! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joey Payne! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Payne shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Payne showed some decent athleticism there. Still in half guard, Payne seems content to control. Payne looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Payne wants to stand up but Justice has a hold of him and won't allow it. Justice wants to get back to full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Payne wants to take a breather but Justice is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice strikes from Payne there. Justice tries to get to full guard but Payne has control of the leg. Payne throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Payne stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Payne feints and as Justice raises his hands in defense, Payne changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Justice looking to hit a scissor sweep but Payne is one step ahead there. Payne wants to control from the top but Justice keeps moving. Payne slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Payne is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Justice is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Justice has escaped and now he's on top!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Justice trying to control but Payne is working from the bottom. Payne trying to keep a closed guard but Justice is proving a slippery customer.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Payne is looking to stand back up but Justice counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Payne. Justice seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Payne is trying to control but can't.
Payne blocking the ground and pound attempt from Justice. Payne pushes Justice off looking to stand but Justice dives back in and keeps control.
Justice is trying to control. Payne wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Justice is just content to waste time from the top position. Payne takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Justice in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Justice is looking to work some ground and pound but Payne has wrist control. Justice stopping the sweep attempt from Payne. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joey Payne dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Justice gets caught napping as Payne dives in and scores a takedown. Justice manages to retain guard. Payne sitting in guard here, content to control. Justice tries to land a sweep but no joy. Payne must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Payne looking to sit in guard and control but Justice gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Payne is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Payne wants to sweep but no luck. Payne wants to stand and escape but Justice is having none of it. Payne has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Justice trying to control the position from guard on top but Payne is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Payne has his foot on Justice's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Justice works his way back into a safe position though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Payne pulls Justice in close to prevent any damage. Justice postures up in Payne's guard and throws a big left but Payne blocks it. Payne manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Justice escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Payne drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Justice gets back to half guard. Payne wants to stand up but Justice has a hold of him and won't allow it. Payne missing with the ground and pound from half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Justice makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Justice. Payne loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Justice bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Payne's guard. Justice with a nice head shot there. Payne is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Justice wants to control from the top but Payne keeps moving. Justice is working Payne over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Justice avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Payne trying to control the position.
Justice scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Justice slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Justice wants to control from the top but Payne keeps moving. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Justice postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Justice on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joey Payne showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Payne fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Justice sprawls well initially but Payne persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Nice strikes from Payne there. Justice wants to get back to full guard. Payne decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Joey Payne is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Payne drives through with a takedown into Justice's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Payne stands up from Justice's guard - Payne perhaps looking for a knockout. Payne cracks Justice with an open hand slap.
That's one minute gone in the round. Payne closes the distance and pushes Justice back into the cage. Payne has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Justice uses from the top position. Justice makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Justice slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Justice throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Justice being controlled here momentarily. Justice cracks Payne with a solid left hand.

Payne keeping moving, preventing Justice from controlling successfully. Justice is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Payne looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Justice passes into half guard.
Payne on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Payne throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Justice scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Justice throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Payne trying to hold on to Justice's head to control him but Justice postures up.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Justice connects with a nice short shot to Payne's temple. Payne flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Payne is looking to control Justice's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Payne avoid being mounted?
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Payne closes the distance and clinches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Payne wants to break the clinch but can't.
Payne prevents a takedown attempt there.
Justice swings wildly with an uppercut but Payne uses good head movement to avoid it. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Justice is trying to drag Payne to the mat but Payne just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Payne is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
And that's the end of the fight! Joey Payne comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Payne has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
