Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oscar Furlan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Howlett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Oscar Furlan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, James Howlett!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Peter Branson and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Furlan gets tackled into the cage by Howlett. Howlett maintains the clinch.
Howlett lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Howlett gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Furlan regains guard.
Furlan is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Furlan is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Howlett defends well.
Furlan is trying to control the position but Howlett postures up.
Howlett sitting in guard, not really doing much.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Furlan had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Howlett defends it easily.
Howlett controlling from the top position.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Furlan has his foot on Howlett's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Howlett works his way back into a safe position though.
Furlan not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Howlett is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Furlan wants to sweep here but Howlett controlling him for the moment.
Howlett slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Furlan escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Howlett gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Howlett stays in close to Furlan's body and controls the position.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Howlett blocks a head kick by Furlan.

Howlett has Furlan up against the cage in a clinch.
Furlan is looking for a takedown.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Knees to the body from Howlett.
Howlett stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Howlett works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Howlett stays in close to Furlan's body and controls the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Furlan escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Howlett gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James Howlett dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Howlett gets the takedown into side control.
Howlett wants to lay and pray for a moment but Furlan keeps working.

Howlett stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Howlett throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Furlan tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Howlett is in Furlan's guard.

Furlan trying to keep a closed guard but Howlett is proving a slippery customer.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Howlett stays in close to Furlan's body and controls the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Howlett is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Furlan has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Howlett is looking to defend but Furlan has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Howlett! Furlan pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Howlett taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Oscar Furlan!
