Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Van Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Valen Dreth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Van Wallace! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Valen Dreth! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Fedor Mirinova and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dreth takes the fight into the clinch. Wallace tries to break the clinch but Dreth is controlling the position. Dreth tries to stall but Wallace uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Wallace dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Dreth tightens his grip and picks Wallace up, before dumping him to the ground. Wallace manages to land in guard. Wallace pulls Dreth in to control the position. Dreth missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Wallace has Dreth pulled in close to control his posture. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dreth drops back looking for a leg! Wallace is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wallace manages to kick Dreth off! Dreth jumps back into Wallace's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dreth is stalling in the full guard. Dreth must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Dreth wants to stand but Wallace has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wallace is pulling down on Dreth's head to control his posture. Wallace wants to improve his position but instead Dreth has moved into half guard.
Dreth is keen to just control but Wallace is a slippery customer. Wallace pushes Dreth off and gets back to his feet. Dreth feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Wallace has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Dreth is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Wallace is trying to break free. Wallace is trying to pull guard but Dreth has him pressed against the cage. Wallace breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dreth pushes Wallace up against the cage in a clinch. Wallace tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Dreth jumps into guard, dragging Wallace to the mat.
Wallace won't allow Dreth to sweep him here. Dreth is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Wallace is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Wallace engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Dreth has a closed guard, preventing Wallace from standing up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wallace lands a couple of digs. Wallace working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Wallace has gone for a leg lock! Dreth slips out almost immediately though and dives into Wallace's guard. Wallace trying to control the position here. Wallace wants to sweep but no luck. Dreth working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Wallace looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dreth is one step ahead there. Wallace controlling the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dreth stops Wallace from standing up. Wallace has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Dreth has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Dreth pulls guard effortlessly. Dreth wants to sweep here but Wallace controlling him for the moment. Wallace working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Dreth controls Wallace momentarily but Wallace frees himself. Dreth wants to sweep here but Wallace controlling him for the moment. Wallace decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Dreth, up you get! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Valen Dreth will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Dreth gets a clinch. Wallace jumps guard but Dreth stands there with Wallace around his waist. Wallace gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Dreth has Wallace pressed against the cage, preventing Wallace from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Dreth breaks from the clinch.
Wallace gets tackled into the cage by Dreth. Dreth maintains the clinch. Wallace fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Dreth pulls Wallace into guard.
Dreth is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Wallace is aware though and is defending well. Wallace decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wallace shoots in but Dreth avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Van Wallace. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dreth moves into range and clinches up with Wallace. Dreth has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wallace breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dreth shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Wallace napping and manages to drive through into side control! Dreth tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dreth has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Valen Dreth has got the better of the ground game so far. Dreth throwing shots but missing, from side control. Wallace is trying to get back to his feet. Dreth is trying to get an arm triangle but Wallace is defending well. Wallace can't do much from the bottom here. Wallace tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dreth wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wallace pushes Dreth away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Dreth gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Dreth working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Wallace is trying to control Dreth's posture but Dreth avoids it. Wallace sneaks back into half guard. Dreth is thwarting Wallace's attempts to control the position. Wallace is looking to improve his position.
Wallace scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Dreth manages to mount him!
Wallace is wriggling around trying to escape.
Dreth unloads with some shots from mount but Wallace bucks and avoids them well.
Wallace manages to regain half guard. Good work. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Dreth controlling the action here. Wallace really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wallace has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dreth is working away from the top position though. Wallace is trying to stand back up but Dreth is controlling him
Wallace wants to get back to full guard. Wallace keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Wallace regains full guard. Nicely done. Dreth wants to control from the top but Wallace keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Dreth wants to pass the guard but Wallace is keeping the position. Wallace wants to stand but Dreth is controlling the position. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Wallace manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dreth manages to get himself to full guard.
Wallace lands a couple of decent looking shots. Dreth looking for a sweep. Not yet Dreth, not yet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Wallace decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Dreth, up you get! Dreth has taken the fight to the clinch.

Valen Dreth showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Wallace has his hands on Dreth's head, controlling the position. Wallace continues to stall.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wallace tries to land a sweep but no joy. Dreth trying to stand up but can't free himself from Wallace's guard. Wallace pulls Dreth in close to his closed guard and prevents Dreth from doing any damage or advancing position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. A momentary lapse in concentration from Wallace enables Dreth to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Wallace manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Wallace manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Wallace prevents Dreth from breaking the clinch. Wallace tries to score a body lock takedown but Dreth shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Dreth successfully pulls guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Wallace stands and steps away. Dreth gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Dreth takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Dreth clinches up with Wallace and pushes him back against the cage. Wallace misses with a hook to the ribs.
Wallace is trying to pull guard but Dreth has him pressed against the cage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Dreth is trying to trip Wallace. He has hold of a leg but Wallace is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Dreth persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Dreth stands up and waves to Wallace to follow him. Dreth throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Wallace tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Dreth is in Wallace's guard. Wallace pulls Dreth in close to prevent any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wallace's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Dreth won't allow Wallace to sweep him here. Wallace is working hard here to advance position. Wallace pulls Dreth in close to prevent any damage. Wallace is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Dreth wants to control from the top but Wallace keeps moving. Wallace looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dreth is one step ahead there. Wallace seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Dreth tries to stand but Wallace is controlling from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Valen Dreth. Well Dreth has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
