Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Terry Hoitz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Throng Po (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Throng Po has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoitz throws a right and a left that Po avoids nicely.
Po is looking to clinch.
Hoitz fails in his attempt to clinch.

Po throws a series of strikes that have Hoitz backpedaling.

Po fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hoitz, pushing him back against the cage.
Po misses with an elbow strike.
Hoitz is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Po is defending well.
With the fighters up against the cage, Po throws an elbow but misses.

Po has Hoitz pressed against the cage, preventing Hoitz from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Po tries to bum rush Hoitz with a series of wild strikes but Hoitz uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Hoitz wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Po is looking to clinch but Hoitz is avoiding it.

It looked like Hoitz was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Po avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Po scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Hoitz doesn't seem bothered though.

Hoitz will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Hoitz goes for a double leg but Po avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Po continues to drive forward.

Hoitz tries to land a front kick but Po steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Po stands up and waves to Hoitz to follow him.
Hoitz fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Po appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Hoitz is breathing heavily.

Throng Po seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hoitz clinches with his opponent.
Po misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Hoitz.

Hoitz is working for takedown but Po is calmly controlling the position for now.
Hoitz tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Po smiles and moves away.
Hoitz walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

A combination from Po does no damage.
Po swats away the attempt to clinch by Hoitz.
Po misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hoitz ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Po moves away.

Hoitz has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Po is on him like a limpet, forcing Hoitz back against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Po lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Hoitz lands a nice shot to the body.
Po tries to land knees in the clinch but Hoitz avoids the damage to the body.
Hoitz can't break the clinch.
Hoitz avoids a wild elbow strike from Po.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Throng Po dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Oh Hoitz is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Po steps in with a hook that catches Hoitz right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Po follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Hoitz looks absolutely devastated.

Throng Po was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
