Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mack Ua (ranked 2632 p4p, 338 weight class) and Dan McClain (ranked 3887 p4p, 464 weight class). Dan McClain told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dan McClain!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Nard Betker and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ua connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
McClain jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Ua throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
McClain unleashes a big counter combination but Ua bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
McClain misses with a series of wild punches.
Ua throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
A little jabbing left from McClain on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Ua misses with a hook
and McClain counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

McClain appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.

Ua loads up on a big right hand but McClain slips the punch.

Ua uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by McClain.
Ua tries to bum rush McClain with a series of wild strikes but McClain uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Ua takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
McClain defending well as Ua loads up on a big left hand.
McClain misses with a few strikes there.
McClain ducks under a wild hook from Ua.
Ua looks to land a right hand but McClain moved out of range.
McClain swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
McClain fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Ua throws a head punch that misses.
McClain pushes Ua back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Ua blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

McClain is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
McClain doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Ua breaks from the clinch.
McClain ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
The fight stays on the outside here - McClain looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
McClain moves out of range as Ua strikes.
Ua throws a body shot but no joy.
McClain misses the shot to the body.
McClain lands a lovely overhand right.
McClain throws a good cross that connects.
Ua is rocked!

Oh Ua is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
and McClain counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Ua! He's just covering up as McClain starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

A relieved looking Dan McClain thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
