Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Shlemenko (ranked 5197 p4p, 576 weight class) and Jurgen Tetsuo (ranked 1480 p4p, 198 weight class). Shlemenko comes to the cage accompanied by Omarion Ft. Chris Brown & Jhene Aiko - Post To Be. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alexander Shlemenko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jurgen Tetsuo!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Matti Vanhoillinen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tetsuo throws a hook to the side of Shlemenko's head but Shlemenko sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Tetsuo attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Shlemenko was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Tetsuo looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Shlemenko looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Tetsuo has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Shlemenko throws a series of punches but Tetsuo avoids them all with ease.
Shlemenko misses with a low kick.
Tetsuo tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Shlemenko defends well and Tetsuo ends up having to push Shlemenko into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Shlemenko seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Tetsuo does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Tetsuo tries to lock up and control but Shlemenko gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shlemenko wants to control the pace but Tetsuo is squirming around nicely.

We've been hearing good reports from Shlemenko's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Shlemenko shoots in looking for a takedown but Tetsuo manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Shlemenko's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Shlemenko looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Tetsuo shoots in for a takedown but Shlemenko shows good takedown defense.

Shlemenko doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Shlemenko shoots in looking for a takedown. Tetsuo tries to sprawl out of it but Shlemenko keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tetsuo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Tetsuo wants to land a leg kick but Shlemenko is out of range.

Shlemenko fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Tetsuo on the side of the head.
Tetsuo moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Shlemenko throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Tetsuo was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Tetsuo misses with an uppercut.
Shlemenko is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Tetsuo can do to turn this around?

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Tetsuo tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Shlemenko shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tetsuo pinned against the cage. Tetsuo gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Shlemenko enables Tetsuo to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Shlemenko manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Alexander Shlemenko.
Well Shlemenko has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
