Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, William Wooden! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Trent Lane! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wooden tries to clinch but Lane moves out of range. Lane closes the distance and clinches. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Lane tries to score a body lock takedown but Wooden shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Lane tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Wooden avoids it. Still in the clinch, Lane scores with a nice short uppercut. Lane is trying to maintain a safe position but Wooden gets an underhook and turns Lane into the cage. Wooden has Lane pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Lane manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Lane trying to land knees to the body.
The referee is keeping an eye on Lane - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Wooden manages to end up in side control. Lane is trying to control Wooden's posture but Wooden avoids it. Wooden sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Lane is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Wooden scores with a couple of short elbows. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Wooden lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Lane down.

Lane swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Lane slaps away a takedown attempt from Wooden, before circling back to the center of the mat. Wooden avoids the body shot from Lane.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Wooden moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Wooden is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Lane working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Wooden fails with an attempt to clinch.
Wooden tries for a takedown but Lane sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Lane lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Wooden circles away quickly and effectively. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Wooden shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lane as he jumps to the side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for William Wooden. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wooden fails to land the takedown.
And that's the end of the fight! Trent Lane comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Wooden has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
