Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Shirley Eaton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dean Carvill! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Glass and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carvill tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Eaton swivels and escapes. Carvill closes the distance and clinches. Carvill goes for a takedown attempt but Eaton pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Eaton jumps guard but Carvill stands there with Eaton around his waist. Eaton gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Carvill forces Eaton back against the cage and clinches. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Carvill tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Eaton just stands there and leans against the cage. Carvill stalls.

Eaton has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Carvill avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Eaton is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Carvill gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Carvill taking a breather. Carvill is leaning against Eaton and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Carvill breaks from the clinch.

Eaton closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Carvill's guard. Carvill has a closed guard, preventing Eaton from standing up. Carvill is trying to keep Eaton in close.
Carvill might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Eaton haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Carvill is trying to hold Eaton in close to prevent damage but Eaton has managed to pass into half guard.
Eaton seems to be looking for submissions.

Carvill goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Eaton throws a big counter combination but Carvill scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Carvill nods at Eaton to acknowledge the strikes. Eaton shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Carvill napping and manages to drive through into side control! Carvill explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Carvill gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Carvill wants to take the fight to the mat but Eaton manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Carvill tries a body shot but Eaton blocks it.

Shirley Eaton overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Carvill looking to sit in guard and control but Eaton gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Carvill wants to stand and escape but Eaton is having none of it. Carvill manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Carvill is breathing heavily. Eaton is trying to trip Carvill. He has hold of a leg but Carvill is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Eaton persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Eaton gets to his feet. Carvill looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Carvill darts in and clinches Eaton up against the cage.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shirley Eaton. That's going to take a lot out of him. Carvill's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Carvill looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Eaton really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Carvill shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Eaton as he jumps to the side. Eaton shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Carvill's guard. Carvill wants to get back to his feet but Eaton passes into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Carvill scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Eaton manages to mount him!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Eaton is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Eaton feints and as Carvill raises his hands in defense, Eaton changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Carvill is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Eaton dives into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Carvill takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Carvill trying to control but Eaton flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back! Eaton softening up his opponent with strikes here.
Eaton is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Carvill defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Eaton is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Carvill tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Eaton just stands there and leans against the cage. Carvill has Eaton pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Eaton manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Eaton is trying to drag Carvill to the mat but Carvill just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Eaton wants the takedown. Carvill is fighting it off but Eaton persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Carvill's guard against the cage. Eaton stands up over Carvill, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Carvill throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Carvill wants to control the position but Eaton says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Eaton is trying to work for a kimura but Carvill is defending well.

Carvill is trying to escape the position but Eaton is controlling the position. Eaton gets to mount! Carvill was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Eaton putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Eaton is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Carvill is surviving well by controlling Eaton's body position as best he can. He hasn't managed just yet though. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Carvill tries to kick Eaton off but Eaton keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Eaton is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Eaton scoring with strikes to the body and head.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Dean Carvill. I think Carvill has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
