Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jake Sekany (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Showalter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sekany comes to the cage accompanied by Centerfield. Showalter has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Jake Sekany has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jake Sekany! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carl Showalter! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Showalter connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. A big left from Showalter misses. Showalter blocks a head kick by Sekany.
Showalter goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Showalter checks the leg kick nicely there.
Sekany tries to land a front kick but Showalter steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Showalter lands with a shot to the body. Sekany throws a nice looking combination but Showalter bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Sekany throws a lazy right hand but Showalter sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Sekany misses with an attempted mid kick.
Nice jab there from Showalter. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Sekany throws a big shot that misses. Showalter on the wrong end of a nice jab. Showalter lands a body shot.
Sekany throws a sloppy head kick and Showalter moves out of range easily. A little jabbing left from Showalter on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Showalter blocks a head kick by Sekany.
Showalter throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Sekany's head. Sekany throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. That's one minute gone in the round. Showalter jabbing away but nothing is landing. Sekany drops Showalter with a left right combo! Sekany follows him down to the ground into side control.
Showalter is rocked! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sekany moves into full mount! Showalter is still in real trouble! Can Sekany finish him? Sekany lands a big shot to the head and Showalter winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
