Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Curt Torres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones has chosen California love as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Curt Torres! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jon Jones! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones throws a right and a left that Torres avoids nicely. Jones closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jones lands in his opponent's guard. Jones is standing up over Torres. Torres looks to escape but Jones dives into side control.
Torres is looking for a sweep. Jones trying to control the position but Torres is working away. Torres is looking for a sweep. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. You can see the frustration on Torres's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Torres is looking for a sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones decides to stand up, so the ref orders Torres to his feet. Jones throws a head kick that misses. Torres throws a big counter combination but Jones scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Jones tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Torres manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Nice sprawl there from Jones as Torres shoots in. Jones stuffs the takedown. Torres throws a lazy head kick and Jones counters with a crisp one two that drops Torres! Jones thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Torres to his feet! Torres is in big trouble! Jones gets a takedown into half guard. Jones not doing much here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Torres blocking the ground and pound. Jones looking to control and managing it successfully. Jones goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Torres turns into him and now he's in Jones's guard.
Torres postures up in Jones's guard and throws a big left but Jones blocks it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Torres preventing the sweep. Torres throwing strikes from guard but Jones blocks nicely. Jones pulls Torres in close to prevent any damage. Jones wants to sweep here but Torres controlling him for the moment. Torres working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Jones throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Jones manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Torres tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jones swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Curt Torres. That's going to take a lot out of him. Torres is breathing heavily. Torres throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jones throws a series of punches but Torres moves out of range. Torres throws a sloppy head kick and Jones moves into the clinch. Torres wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Jones has him pressed against the cage. Jones works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Jones passes Torres's left leg - he's now in half guard. Jones decides to return to a standing position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jon Jones dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Torres with a lazy takedown attempt and Jones counters with a series of strikes. Torres will be more careful next time no doubt. Jones slaps away a takedown attempt from Torres, before circling back to the center of the mat. A little jabbing left from Jones on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Torres scores with a hook to the body. Jones takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Jones looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Jones not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Torres pushes Jones off but Jones dives into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sloppy strikes there by Jones. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jones moves into full mount! Jones landing strikes from the mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones looking to ground and pound but Torres is blocking nicely. Torres is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Jones throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Torres is desperately trying to improve his position but Jones has a good base and remains in mount. Jones jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Torres manages to avoid the submission attempt. Jones has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Jones has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Excellent takedown into side control there by Jones.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Torres is trying to get back to half guard. Torres is trying to control Jones's posture but Jones avoids it. Torres is trying to improve his position. Torres struggling a bit here. Jones stands up and we're back to a striking position. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Jones. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. The fight moves into the clinch position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Jones's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Jones closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jones lands in his opponent's guard. Torres will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Jones showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Let's hope that Jones has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Torres looking for a guillotine here but Jones defends easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones postures up in Torres's guard and throws a big left but Torres blocks it. Jones with a flurry of punches that miss. Jon Jones has got the better of the ground game so far. Jones stands up from Torres's guard - Jones perhaps looking for a knockout. Jones closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Torres quickly recovers to half guard. Torres is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Jones jumps into side control! Jones works to advance to full mount. Torres defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Jones throws some wild stikes that Torres manages to avoid easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jon Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Jones drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Jones trying to control but Torres is working from the bottom. Jones preventing the sweep. Torres working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Jones. Jones tries to free his leg and advance position but Torres is retaining full guard. Torres wants to control the position but Jones says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Torres has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Jones escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Jones! Torres is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Jones has just dragged him back down to the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A lull in the action here. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Torres manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Torres is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Jones decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Jones fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Torres, pushing him back against the cage. Jones pulls Torres into guard.
Torres working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Jones's head. Jones pulls Torres in close to prevent any damage. Jones is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Torres defends well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Torres's guard.

Jones sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Torres's guard. Jones slows the pace down in half guard. Torres is looking to control Jones's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Torres avoid being mounted?
That's three minutes gone in the round. Torres is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Jones is working for a submission of some sort.
Torres is trying to maintain the position but Jones is very close to passing his half guard. Jones is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Torres doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Jones.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Jones decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Jones tries to clinch up but Torres circles away and keeps his distance. It looked like Torres was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Jones stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jones wants it to stay on the feet. Torres fails with the takedown. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jones clinches up against the cage. Curt Torres has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jon Jones is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Jones scores with a hook to the body.
And that's the end of the fight! Jon Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Jones has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
