Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Abel Gutierrez (ranked 3815 p4p, 497 weight class) and Bradley Martin (ranked 5151 p4p, 638 weight class). Gutierrez kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Fugees–03. Ready or Not. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gutierrez misses with a two punch combination.
Martin fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gutierrez manages to avoid it.
Martin stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Martin scores with a jab. Gutierrez acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Gutierrez decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Gutierrez thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Martin is trying to get back to full guard.
Gutierrez seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Martin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Gutierrez has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Martin has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Martin looks to land a combination but Gutierrez avoids it well.

Gutierrez fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Martin sprawls well initially but Gutierrez persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Martin is rocked!
Gutierrez lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Martin quite badly. Martin pulls Gutierrez in close trying to recover. Gutierrez postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Martin on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Martin doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

Abel Gutierrez spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
