Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kantaro Hoshino (ranked 118 p4p, 12 weight class) and Kotetsu Yamamoto (ranked 191 p4p, 26 weight class). Kantaro Hoshino had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

18 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kotetsu Yamamoto! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Alec Ball and Dillan Fox.

Yamamoto looks like he wants to counter punch here. Hoshino jabbing away but nothing is landing. Yamamoto scores with a nice right hand.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kantaro Hoshino will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Kotetsu Yamamoto has got the better of the ground game so far. Yamamoto tries to land a sweep but no joy. Yamamoto is still trying to improve position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Yamamoto working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hoshino doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hoshino manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Yamamoto is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Yamamoto lands a nice short elbow. Yamamoto not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
