Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Erick Darko (ranked 737 p4p, 117 weight class) and Karl Nerlinger (ranked 2569 p4p, 377 weight class). Darko comes to the ring accompanied by S.C.O.S.A - Flatbush Zombies. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Darko keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Nerlinger.

Darko has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Nerlinger throws a body punch but Darko moves out of range.
It looked like Darko wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Darko bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Nerlinger's head backwards.

Nerlinger throws a hook but Darko blocks it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nerlinger has Darko pressed up against the ropes. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Nerlinger pulls back from the ropes and twists to the side, sending Darko tumbling to the mat - Nerlinger dives into Darko's guard.
Darko pulls Nerlinger in close to prevent any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Darko is looking to cinch up a triangle. Nerlinger throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Darko's body to avoid the submission. Darko has instead reached around Nerlinger's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Darko arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
