The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Peavris decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bobby Jr's guard.

No joy there for Peavris, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Bobby Jr throws a lazy right hand but Peavris sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Peavris unleashes a big counter combination but Bobby Jr bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Bobby Jr looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Peavris throws a right and a left that both miss.
Bobby Jr throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bobby Jr dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Peavris. That did some damage!

Peavris chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Bobby Jr can pounce on him.

Peavris takes one to the side of the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bobby Jr walks forward, straight into a front kick from Peavris.
Peavris goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Peavris stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bobby Jr swivels though and keeps the full guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Bobby Jr holds on and takes a little breather.
Bobby Jr's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Bobby Jr has Peavris pulled in close to control his posture.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Bobby Jr looks for the body kick but Peavris saw that one coming.
Peavris shoots in looking for a takedown but Bobby Jr manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Peavris's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Ricky Bobby Jr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eugene Peavris.

Peavris has Bobby Jr pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Bobby Jr manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

That was a close round but I would say that Ricky Bobby Jr will probably get the nod.

Bobby Jr fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Peavris has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Peavris takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Peavris throws a right hand that Bobby Jr ducks under and follows up with a left that Bobby Jr also avoids with ease.
Bobby Jr is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Peavris.
Peavris throws the left hand but Bobby Jr avoids the punch easily.
Bobby Jr buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Bobby Jr lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
