Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dre Still (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Page (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dre Still!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Danny Page!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Still uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Page.
Still swats away the attempt to clinch by Page.
Still appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Page missing with a left hand there. Still was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
A head kick misses from Page.
Page misses the shot to the body.
Page fails in his attempt to clinch.
Page tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Still paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Page drives through and clinches with Still against the cage.

Page's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Page clinches up with Still and pushes him back against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Still blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Page has had enough of the clinch but Still keeps him there for the moment.
A left hand lands to the body for Still.
Page creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Page pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

It looks like Dre Still has been cut.

Still has picked Page up - he's going for a ride! Still dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Page tries to get to full guard but Still has control of the leg.
Page makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Page.
Still won't allow Page to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Still throws an elbow that misses. Page uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Still's guard. Nice move by Page!

Page trying to control but Still is working from the bottom.
Still pulls Page in close to prevent any damage.
Still manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Page manages to get himself to full guard.

Page looking to hit a scissor sweep but Still is one step ahead there.
Page controls Still momentarily but Still frees himself.
Still is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Still keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Page's head.
Still works over Page with some ground and pound from guard.
Page looking to control.
Page lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Still has his foot on Page's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Page works his way back into a safe position though.
Still has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Page wants to control from the top but Still keeps moving.
Page must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Page postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Page tries to free his leg and advance position but Still is retaining full guard.
Still wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Still escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Page gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Still is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Page defends well.

Still looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Still working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Page doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Page manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Page postures up in Still's guard and throws a big left but Still blocks it.

Still looking for a guillotine here but Page defends easily.
Page trying to control but Still is working from the bottom.

A close round but Danny Page will probably get the nod.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Page has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Still is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Page tries to close the distance and clinch but Still swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Still bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Page's guard.

Dre Still overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Page might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Still haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Still stands up over Page, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Still wants the takedown. Page is fighting it off but Still persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Page's guard against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Still wants to take a breather but Page is having none of it.

Still seems to be working for a kimura but Page defends the submission attempt.
Still working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Still seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Page is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Dre Still!
Dre Still spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
