Freeman has chosen Old Firm Casuals - Better start running as his entrance music. Nate Freeman will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Filip Hansson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
12 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Nate Freeman!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Ben Zyskovitsi and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freeman lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Hansson doesn't manage to clinch there - Freeman circles away.
Hansson tries to clinch
and Freeman counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

and Freeman counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Freeman's coach down at CT + BJJ & Wrestling & Boxing & MT SPARRING GYM was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Freeman's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Filip Hansson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

letting Freeman counter with a right hand.

and Freeman counters with a lovely straight right hand!

and Freeman counters with a beautiful punch that sends Hansson to the canvas!
Hansson is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Freeman gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Oh Hansson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hansson closes the distance but Freeman moves to the side
and Freeman counters with a left to the body.
Freeman lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Hansson up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Freeman from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Hansson's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Nate Freeman!
After winning the bout, Nate Freeman thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
