Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alex Foster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alistair Overeem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alistair Overeem will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alex Foster! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alistair Overeem! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Ben Watson and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Overeem fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Foster sprawls well initially but Overeem persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Overeem stops Foster from getting back to his feet.
Foster holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Foster has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Foster moves into full guard.
Foster managing to control the position. Foster could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Overeem won't allow Foster to sweep him here. Overeem must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's one minute gone in the round. Foster lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Foster throws a big right hand that misses. Overeem working a defensive guard but Foster passes into half guard.
Foster looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Overeem on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Overeem pushes Foster off looking to stand but Foster dives back in and keeps control.
Overeem wants to control but Foster is keeping busy and won't allow it. Overeem wants to get back to full guard. Foster is looking for a kimura here.
Foster is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Overeem is just riding it out for now. Foster eventually gives up the hold.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Foster sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Overeem defending well though. Overeem trying to hold on to Foster's head to control him but Foster postures up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Foster pushes Overeem up against the cage in a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Overeem gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Foster pulls Overeem in to control the position. This is a sustained period of stalling by Foster. Foster uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Foster is looking to clinch but Overeem is avoiding it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alex Foster dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Foster drives through with a takedown into Overeem's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Overeem wants to get back to his feet but Foster passes into half guard.
Foster looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Overeem with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Overeem is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Foster's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Foster's back! Foster is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Overeem can do to turn this around? Foster is really stuck here.
Foster holding on to Overeem's left wrist, preventing the choke. Overeem missing with strikes from the back. Foster tries to escape but Overeem has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Alex Foster overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Foster manages to reverse the position and now he's in Overeem's guard. Nice work there by Foster.
Overeem is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Overeem is looking to stand up but Foster isn't so interested in that idea. Foster looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Foster seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Overeem for as long as he can get away with.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Foster stands up over Overeem, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Overeem is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Foster distracts Overeem with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Overeem really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Foster. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Foster is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Foster working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Overeem's head. Foster is working Overeem over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Foster might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Foster stopping the sweep attempt from Overeem. Overeem is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Overeem is breathing heavily. Overeem feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Overeem is looking to work some ground and pound but Foster has wrist control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Overeem is fighting to break Foster's control of his arms but Foster is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Foster's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Foster keeping moving, preventing Overeem from controlling successfully. Foster wants to stand but Overeem is controlling the position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! There's a bit of a scramble here and now Foster is on top in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alex Foster dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Foster has taken the fight to the clinch.
Foster pulls guard. Foster seems keen to control Overeem's posture. Foster pushes Overeem off and scrambles back to his feet.
The fight moves into the clinch position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Overeem gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Overeem trying to control the position from guard on top but Foster is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Overeem slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Foster is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Foster has a closed guard, preventing Overeem from standing up. Foster is pulling down on Overeem's head to control his posture.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Overeem looking to pass the guard. Foster wants to sweep here but Overeem controlling him for the moment. Foster pulls Overeem in to control the position.

Overeem takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Overeem clinches.

Overeem drags the fight down to the ground.
Foster's corner is telling him to maintain position. Overeem looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Foster puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Overeem wants to get back to his feet. Foster prevents Overeem from improving his position. Foster is thwarting Overeem's attempts to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Foster drops an elbow to the side of Overeem's head. Foster perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Overeem trying to hold on to Foster's head to control him but Foster postures up.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Foster closes the distance looking to clinch and Overeem counters with a head kick. That will keep Foster thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
And that's the end of the fight! Alex Foster showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Foster, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
