Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robb Wallace (ranked 3109 p4p, 446 weight class) and Ronald Washington (ranked 4404 p4p, 589 weight class). Wallace kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Venus - Theatre of Tragedy. Ronald Washington is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Washington lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Wallace seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Wallace takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Washington scores with a one two! Wallace had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Washington's coach down at 10th Planet Islanders was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Washington's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Wallace lands a head kick that stumbles Washington and the fighters go to the mat.
It looks like Ronald Washington has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Washington will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Ronald Washington seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wallace tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Washington shoots in for a takedown. Wallace tries to lock up and control but Washington gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Washington postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Wallace looks a forlorn figure.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Washington trying to control but Wallace is having none of it. Washington is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Wallace can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

And that's the end of the fight! Ronald Washington comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Washington has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
