Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Buchanan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gideon Reiden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, George Buchanan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gideon Reiden!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Reiden manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Buchanan on his heels. He'll look to pass Buchanan's guard now, I'm sure.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Buchanan can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Reiden controls the pace.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Reiden passes Buchanan's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Reiden connects with a nice short shot to Buchanan's temple.
Reiden with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Buchanan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Reiden is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Buchanan tries to get to full guard but Reiden has control of the leg.
Reiden perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Reiden has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Reiden tries to stand and escape but Buchanan is controlling the position.

Reiden is working for a kimura but Buchanan is defending it quite comfortably.
Buchanan wants to improve his position but Reiden is controlling well.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Reiden stalling.
Buchanan really is a fat lump.
Reiden seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Buchanan does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Buchanan is trying to get back to full guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Reiden lands a nice short elbow.

Reiden seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Buchanan trying to hold on to Reiden's head to control him but Reiden postures up.
Buchanan wants to improve his position but Reiden is controlling well.
Reiden is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Reiden not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Reiden works his foot free and advances to mount.

Buchanan tries to reverse the position but Reiden maintains control.
Reiden controlling the position easily from mount.
Reiden trying to control but Buchanan is having none of it.
Buchanan keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Reiden tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Buchanan is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gideon Reiden dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Reiden gets a double leg takedown into Buchanan's guard.
Buchanan wants to sweep but no luck.
Buchanan wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Reiden is now in half guard.
Reiden working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Gideon Reiden has got the better of the ground game so far.
Reiden looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Reiden is trying for a kimura here. Buchanan looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Reiden wins by kimura!
