Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, William A Jeppesen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kiero Kawa!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Paulo Santos and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kawa tries for a takedown but Jeppesen sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Kawa fails with a takedown attempt.
Kawa shoots in looking for a takedown. Jeppesen tries to sprawl out of it but Kawa keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jeppesen manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
William A Jeppesen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kiero Kawa.
Kawa avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Jeppesen has managed to clinch.

Kawa breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Jeppesen rushes Kawa and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Kawa tries to throw a body punch but Jeppesen avoids it by throwing Kawa back against the cage.
Jeppesen lands a right hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jeppesen pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
William A Jeppesen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jeppesen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kawa, pushing him back against the cage.
Jeppesen scores with a nice hook to the head.
Kawa is trying to drag Jeppesen to the mat but Jeppesen just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Kawa manages to pull guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kawa is looking to stand up but Jeppesen isn't so interested in that idea.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kawa holds on and takes a little breather.
Jeppesen wants to stand but Kawa is controlling his posture from full guard.
Kawa wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Jeppesen prevents Kawa from getting back to his feet.
Jeppesen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kawa on the ground.

Kawa looking for a guillotine here but Jeppesen defends easily.
Jeppesen wanted to stand there but Kawa had control of the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kawa tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Jeppesen has closed the distance and engaged Kawa in a clinch.
Jeppesen misses with a knee to the head.
Jeppesen prevents a takedown attempt there.
Kawa tries to pull guard but Jeppesen holds him up against the cage and eventually Kawa drops back down to his feet.

Jeppesen pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Kawa tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Jeppesen misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kawa looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.

Jeppesen has closed the distance and engaged Kawa in a clinch.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Jeppesen takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Kawa has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Jeppesen is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Kawa's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Jeppesen has Kawa pressed against the cage.
Jeppesen avoiding damage.
Jeppesen throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Kawa breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kawa moves in looking to clinch but Jeppesen pushes him off.

Jeppesen darts in and clinches Kawa up against the cage.
Jeppesen slowing the pace effectively.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kawa tries to pull guard but Jeppesen forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Jeppesen lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Kawa looks winded!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kawa wants a takedown but no success here.
Jeppesen pushes Kawa back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.


Kawa is rocked!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

William A Jeppesen dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Kawa slips a jab and a cross from Jeppesen.
Kawa is still on wobbly legs! Can Jeppesen finish him?
Jeppesen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Jeppesen forces Kawa back against the cage and clinches.
Jeppesen dips a shoulder and cracks Kawa with a mighty uppercut! Kawa falls back against the cage and Jeppesen unloads with a barrage of strikes! Kawa is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Jeppesen screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:17 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). William A Jeppesen!
