Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tribbiani Joey (ranked 1068 p4p, 128 weight class) and Farboleous Ricard (ranked 1093 p4p, 129 weight class). Ricard has chosen Vibe Killer as his entrance music. Tribbiani Joey has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Farboleous Ricard!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Kenichi Hosakawa and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joey misses with a hook. Ricard ducked under it nicely.
Ricard slaps away a takedown attempt from Joey, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Ricard looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
A chopping leg kick lands by Ricard.
Ricard blocks a head kick by Joey.
Joey throws a chopping leg kick but Ricard manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Joey has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Joey fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ricard.
Ricard lands the left hand.
Ricard slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Joey uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ricard.
Ricard fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Joey has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Ricard dodges the punch combination from Joey.
Tribbiani Joey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Joey fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ricard avoids it really well and circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Joey wants to slow Ricard down by chopping away at his legs.
Joey walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Joey throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ricard's waist but Ricard gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Joey off to one side.
Ricard only half commits to the counter leg kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tribbiani Joey. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Joey dives in and grabs Ricard's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ricard pushes down on Joey's head and hops out.
Farboleous Ricard is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ricard lands the left hand.
Ricard dips to his left and cracks Joey with an uppercut!
Ricard throws a series of punches but Joey avoids them all with ease.
Ricard takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Ricard, right into the meat.
Joey throws a hook to the side of Ricard's head but Ricard sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
A shot to the body from Joey misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Joey tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Joey throws a hook but Ricard blocks it.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Joey looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ricard is fending him off so far but Joey persists. Nope, Ricard circles away and we're back to standing.
Ricard defending well as Joey loads up on a big left hand.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Ricard! But no joy.
Joey scores with a one two! Ricard had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Joey misses with a leg kick
letting Ricard counter with a right hand.
Joey waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Ricard.
Joey misses the shot to the body.
Joey chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Joey, as that shot connected.
Ricard lands a jab.
Joey throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Ricard counters with a low kick, right behind Joey 's knee.
Joey is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Ricard moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Farboleous Ricard!
Farboleous Ricard is the new lightweight champion!
A very excited looking Farboleous Ricard made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
