Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Ryan (ranked 829 p4p, 128 weight class) and Albert Pulkkinen (ranked 2188 p4p, 320 weight class). Ryan comes to the cage accompanied by The Animals - House of the Rising Sun. Jimmy Ryan could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Albert Pulkkinen's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryan misses with a body punch
letting Pulkkinen counter with a right hand.
Pulkkinen closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Pulkkinen throws a leg kick but Ryan checks it.

and Ryan counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Pulkkinen thinking.

Ryan appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Pulkkinen throws a looping overhand right but Ryan ducks down to avoid it.
Pulkkinen misses with a hook. Ryan ducked under it nicely.

and Pulkkinen counters with a nice uppercut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pulkkinen has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Ryan throws a head kick but Pulkkinen moves out of range.

Ryan is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Albert Pulkkinen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Pulkkinen lands a leg kick that knocks Ryan off balance momentarily.

Pulkkinen finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Ryan thows a left - swing and a miss!

Ryan swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Pulkkinen takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
It looks like Albert Pulkkinen has been cut.
Ryan jabs Pulkkinen to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Pulkkinen rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Ryan counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Pulkkinen takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Ryan throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Pulkkinen appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Ryan misses with a body shot.

Ryan keeps Pulkkinen at a distance using the push kick.
Pulkkinen misses with a hook. Ryan ducked under it nicely.
Pulkkinen moves away from the strike by Ryan.
Pulkkinen counters with a body kick.
Pulkkinen steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ryan.
Ryan fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Ryan misses with a wild combination.
Pulkkinen dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Ryan. That did some damage!
Ryan scores with a hook to the body. Pulkkinen takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Ryan tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Pulkkinen is able to avoid easily.
We've been told by Ryan's head coaches at True North Fight Team that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Pulkkinen misses with a low kick.
Ryan throwing a counter right hand but Pulkkinen manages to avoid it.

Ryan throws the kick towards the body but Pulkkinen avoids it.
Pulkkinen avoids a kick to the body.
Pulkkinen slips a straight right by Ryan.
Ryan checks the leg kick.
Ryan looks for the body kick but Pulkkinen saw that one coming.
Ryan lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Pulkkinen connects with a solid leg kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Pulkkinen throws a right hand that misses
and Ryan cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
No joy there for Ryan, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ryan takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Pulkkinen thuds his right hand into Ryan's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Pulkkinen throws a lazy uppercut
and Ryan counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Pulkkinen rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Ryan counters with a nice low kick that buckles Pulkkinen's knee momentarily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jimmy Ryan dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Albert Pulkkinen's cut.
That's time! Back to the action!
Ryan throws a body shot but no joy.
Pulkkinen throws a low kick but it's checked well by Ryan.
Pulkkinen swings for the body but Ryan moves out of range.
Ryan lands a big uppercut and Pulkkinen crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Pulkkinen looks OK. Ryan waves Pulkkinen back to his feet!
Pulkkinen is rocked!
Ryan fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Pulkkinen is still on wobbly legs! Can Ryan finish him?
Ryan moves out of range as Pulkkinen strikes.
Ryan throws a pinpoint strike between Pulkkinen's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Pulkkinen crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Ryan scores a great knockout victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jimmy Ryan!
