Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Johnie Serrano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Treylin Clark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Treylin Clark will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johnie Serrano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Treylin Clark!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Joseph Jones and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Serrano shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Clark as he jumps to the side.
Clark throws out a counter right but Serrano avoids it with no problem.
Johnie Serrano seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Clark swats away the attempt to clinch by Serrano.
Clark fails in his attempt to clinch.
Serrano is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Clark.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Serrano shoots in for a takedown but Clark shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
As Serrano backs off Clark throws a huge counter combo but Serrano manages to avoid it all.
Serrano fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Clark avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johnie Serrano. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Serrano looks like he's trying to stand up.

Serrano pushes Clark off and gets back to his feet.

Serrano tries to clinch there but Clark circles away.
Clark is looking for the big counter here.

Serrano fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Clark to the ground. Serrano is now in Clark's guard.

Clark has his foot on Serrano's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Serrano works his way back into a safe position though.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Serrano has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Clark working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Serrano doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Serrano manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Serrano cracks Clark with a solid left hand.
Clark tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Serrano scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Serrano landing some decent shots from guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Serrano lands a couple of elbows.
Serrano lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Serrano is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Clark looking for a sweep. Not yet Clark, not yet.
Serrano trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Clark is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Serrano will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Serrano postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Clark is looking to stand back up but Serrano counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Clark.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Serrano is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Serrano fails with an attempt to clinch.
Clark tries to close the distance and clinch up but Serrano swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Serrano looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Clark kicks Serrano off and gets back to his feet.
Clark swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Serrano takes the fight into the clinch.
Clark is pressed up against the cage. Serrano has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Clark down to the mat. Clark avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sloppy strikes from Clark. Those never looked like landing.

Clark shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Serrano napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Serrano bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Clark scores with a jab to the head.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Serrano swinging wildly here.

Serrano instigates a clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Serrano breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Clark connects with the punch.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Serrano.
Clark doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Serrano really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Clark staying out of range there.
Serrano shoots and misses
and Clark cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johnie Serrano. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Clark throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Johnie Serrano is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Serrano throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Clark.
Clark moves in looking to clinch but Serrano pushes him off.
Serrano tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Clark defends well and Serrano ends up having to push Clark into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Clark let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Treylin Clark seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Serrano closes the distance and clinches.
Serrano displaying some good clinch control by pressing Clark up against the cage.
Clark gets underhooks to prevent Serrano's takedown attempt.

Serrano breaks from the clinch.

Clark gets a double leg takedown into Serrano's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Treylin Clark will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Serrano takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Clark throws a leg kick

and Serrano moves into the clinch.

Serrano manages to break the clinch.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Serrano.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Clark cracks Serrano with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.


Serrano is rocked!

Clark connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Serrano to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Clark!
