Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marek Koltun (ranked 1859 p4p, 289 weight class) and Bob Goblin (ranked 3483 p4p, 483 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
25 - 15 - 4, fighting out of Helsinki, Marek Koltun! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bob Goblin! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No joy there for Goblin, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Koltun throws a leg kick that is checked and Goblin counters with a left and a right that stings Koltun. Goblin takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Goblin shoots for a double leg takedown but Koltun sprawls well. He's pushed Goblin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Koltun throws a shot from downtown. Goblin moves away and avoids it. Koltun lands a leg kick that knocks Goblin off balance momentarily. Goblin dives in for a single leg takedown but Koltun sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Koltun looks to throw the jab but Goblin is out of range. Goblin throws a sloppy head kick and Koltun counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Goblin shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Marek Koltun has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bob Goblin. Koltun takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Koltun looks to score with a jab to the body but Goblin is just out of range. Koltun's corner calls for a 1-2. Koltun obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Koltun stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Koltun wants it to stay on the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Koltun thows a body kick. Goblin tries to catch it but that hurt him. Koltun fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Goblin on the side of the head. Bob Goblin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Koltun lands a jab. No luck with that takedown attempt from Goblin. Koltun steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Goblin. Goblin ducks under a wild hook from Koltun. Koltun lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Goblin looks to land a combination but Koltun avoids it well. Koltun is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Koltun swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Goblin looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Koltun! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Goblin looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Koltun is avoiding damage well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Goblin tries to move into full mount but can't pass Koltun's legs. Koltun being controlled for a moment. Koltun tries to buck Goblin off but Goblin is having none of it. Goblin misses with the ground and pound. Koltun is trying to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Koltun is trying to control Goblin's posture but Goblin avoids it. Koltun tries to improve position but can't. Goblin throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Koltun works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Koltun is looking for a sweep. Goblin is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Goblin is keen to just control but Koltun is a slippery customer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Koltun moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Goblin controls from within his opponent's guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Koltun is on top in guard.
Koltun working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Koltun prevents Goblin from getting back to his feet. Goblin utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Goblin throws a head kick but Koltun moves out of range.
Goblin tries to close the distance and clinch up but Koltun swats him away and circles back towards the center. Koltun appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Goblin throws a right hand that Koltun ducks under and follows up with a left that Koltun also avoids with ease. Goblin takes a shot right to the bread basket. Bob Goblin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A nice inside leg kick there by Koltun. That's going to slow Goblin down. Koltun jabbing away but nothing is landing. Goblin shoots in for a takedown but Koltun shows good takedown defense. Koltun swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Goblin looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Koltun changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Koltun's corner calls for a 1-2. Koltun obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Goblin fails with a takedown attempt. Marek Koltun has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bob Goblin.
That's one minute gone in the round. Koltun throws a lazy right hand but Goblin sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Goblin closes the distance and clinches up with Koltun, looking for a takedown. Goblin pushes Koltun against the cage but Koltun circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Goblin feints and then cracks Koltun's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Koltun down. Koltun missing with a left hand there. Goblin was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Koltun moves into the clinch. Koltun lands an uppercut. Koltun gets control of Goblin's arms and successfully pulls guard. Koltun will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Koltun is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Goblin can do to turn this around? Koltun is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Koltun working a defensive guard here.
Goblin postures up in Koltun's guard and throws a big left but Koltun blocks it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Koltun wants to sweep here but Goblin controlling him for the moment. Goblin is working Koltun over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Koltun keeping moving, preventing Goblin from controlling successfully.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Koltun drives through and clinches with Goblin against the cage.
Goblin decides to pull guard. Koltun forces his way into half guard. Koltun lands with a punch from half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Koltun not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Goblin slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Goblin tries to land a sweep but no joy. Goblin avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Koltun trying to control the position from guard on top but Goblin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Goblin wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Koltun is now in half guard. Koltun working over Goblin with some ground and pound. Goblin looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Koltun wants to take a breather but Goblin is having none of it. Koltun scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Goblin keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Goblin is trying to stand back up but Koltun is controlling him
Koltun is working for a submission of some sort.
Goblin is not content to let Koltun control the position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Koltun not landing any meaningful shots this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marek Koltun dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Goblin gets the takedown into side control. Goblin in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Goblin tries to advance to mount but Koltun denies him. Koltun gets back to half guard. Koltun moves into full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Koltun looking for a triangle here. Goblin is fighting it but it looks tight! Koltun pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Goblin is tapping out - this one is all over!
