Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Louie Dixon (ranked 8682 p4p, 0 weight class) and Floyd Patterson (ranked 6261 p4p, 0 weight class). Floyd Patterson will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dixon tries for a takedown but Patterson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Patterson pushes Dixon up against the cage in a clinch.
Dixon blocks the elbow strike.
Patterson pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Patterson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Dixon throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Patterson's waist but Patterson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dixon off to one side.
Dixon tried to score with a low kick but Patterson checks it.
Patterson was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Dixon shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Louie Dixon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Patterson rushes Dixon and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Patterson manages to break the clinch.
Dixon tries to score a power double leg takedown but Patterson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dixon somewhat.
Patterson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Dixon wants to clinch up but Patterson keeps it at a distance.
Patterson unleashes a big counter combination but Dixon bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
An inside leg kick from Dixon misses.
Sloppy strikes from Patterson. Those never looked like landing.
Dixon clinches.
Patterson lands an uppercut.
It looks like Louie Dixon has been cut.
Dixon changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Patterson fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Dixon shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Patterson manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Patterson looks winded!
Dixon postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Dixon chips away with some ground and pound.
Dixon won't allow Patterson to get back to his feet.
Patterson has momentary wrist control but Dixon slips an elbow through the middle.
Patterson is looking to stand up but Dixon isn't so interested in that idea.
Dixon scoring with punches to the head and body.
Dixon could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Dixon decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Patterson, up you get!
Dixon scores with a takedown into Patterson's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dixon gets to his feet - Patterson follows without any prompting.
Dixon shoots in but Patterson avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Patterson tries to grapple but his opponent circles
so Dixon counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Dixon content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Dixon with a nice head shot there.
Dixon might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Dixon decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Patterson throws a combination that misses
and Dixon counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Dixon tries to land knees in the clinch but Patterson avoids the damage to the body.
We've been informed that Patterson has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Dixon pulls guard successfully.
Dixon is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Patterson frees his head nicely. Oh but Dixon has switched to an armbar! Patterson is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
