Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Pernell Whitaker!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Richard Clark and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Whitaker jumps guard and drags Mclean to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Whitaker utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Mclean postures up.
Whitaker working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Mclean.
Mclean really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Mclean gets to his feet. Whitaker looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Whitaker is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Mclean off and has taken his back!

Mclean looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Can Mclean hold on?! Whitaker is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
Mclean has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Whitaker.
Whitaker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mclean. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Mclean is trying to get back to his feet but Whitaker has full control of the position and if anything, Mclean has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Whitaker punches the canvas rather than the man.
