Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Trey Micheals (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hughes comes into a darkened arena with his song building. beer on the table kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Micheals takes a body punch but keeps moving.

and Hughes decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Micheals's guard.

Hughes shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Micheals as he jumps to the side.

Hughes gets underhooks to prevent Micheals's takedown attempt.
Hughes lands an elbow just above Micheals 's eye.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Micheals clinches up against the cage.
Hughes is trying to maintain a safe position but Micheals gets an underhook and turns Hughes into the cage.
Hughes tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Micheals smiles and moves away.
Micheals pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hughes darts in trying to clinch
and Micheals counters with a nice body kick.
Micheals shoots in but Hughes avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hughes tries to roll over but Micheals keeps him under control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Micheals seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hughes does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Hughes is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Hughes can't escape the position.
Micheals is standing up, even though he is in mount.
Trey Micheals is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Hughes gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Micheals counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Micheals.
Trey Micheals has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Hughes.
Micheals drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Micheals's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Hughes looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Micheals closes the distance but Hughes moves to the side
and Hughes counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Micheals's guard now.
Micheals looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Hughes is defending well. Micheals quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Hughes has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Micheals celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
