Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Montazelli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Moy Mendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mendez has chosen War Machine - AC/DC as his entrance music. Moy Mendez will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Antonio Montazelli! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Moy Mendez! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Montazelli misses with a low kick as Mendez jumps back. Mendez misses with a looping left. A big left from Mendez misses. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Montazelli lands a jab. Excellent takedown into side control there by Montazelli.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mendez can't do much from the bottom here. Montazelli is trying to get an arm triangle but Mendez is defending well. Mendez gets back to half guard. Mendez looking for submissions off his back. Mendez throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Mendez actively working from the bottom here. Mendez won't allow Montazelli to pass to mount. Montazelli is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Montazelli thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Montazelli wants to work for an arm triangle but Mendez is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Montazelli looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Montazelli is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Mendez doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Montazelli. Montazelli is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mendez is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Mendez wants to get back to his feet. Mendez is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Montazelli pulls his head out easily. Montazelli is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Mendez doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Montazelli. Montazelli is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Mendez sees it coming and defends easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Mendez is looking to improve his position.
Mendez wants to control but Montazelli is keeping busy.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Mendez gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Montazelli counters with a takedown into side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mendez with a poor takedown and Montazelli counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Mendez! Montazelli wants to finish this one by submission but Mendez is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Montazelli. Mendez really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Mendez is squirming around, avoiding Montazelli's attempts to control the action. Mendez can't escape the position.
Montazelli is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Mendez can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mendez is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Mendez is looking to improve his position but Montazelli isn't that keen on the idea. Montazelli working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Mendez looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Montazelli! Submission of the night perhaps?
