Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Angelo Mendez (ranked 402 p4p, 56 weight class) and David C. Marvin (ranked 1227 p4p, 188 weight class). Mendez comes to the cage accompanied by Angelito. Marvin is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Superman Theme. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marvin misses with a kick to the body
and Mendez counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Marvin pushes Mendez away with a front kick.
Mendez looks to land a combination but Marvin avoids it well.
Marvin throws a head kick but Mendez moves out of range.
Marvin goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Mendez throws a big shot that misses.

and Marvin makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Mendez really felt that one!

Marvin is still on wobbly legs! Can Mendez finish him?
Marvin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mendez tries to avoid it but Marvin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mendez to the ground. Mendez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Mendez lands a big uppercut and Marvin crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Marvin looks OK. Mendez waves Marvin back to his feet!
Marvin misses with an attempted mid kick.
Mendez misses the jab.
Mendez fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Marvin manages to avoid it.
A slow jab from Mendez misses its intended target.
Mendez checks a leg kick nicely.

Mendez scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Marvin looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
Marvin ducks under a wild hook from Mendez.
Marvin throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Marvin throws a lazy head kick
and Mendez cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Mendez tries to bum rush Marvin with a series of wild strikes but Marvin uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Mendez scores with a one two! Marvin had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Marvin throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Mendez will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.

Marvin throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Mendez appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Mendez cracks Marvin with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Mendez has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Marvin to stand back up!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Marvin lands a head kick. Mendez smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Marvin slips under a jab.
Marvin thinks about the counter body kick.
Mendez feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Marvin sprawling to the canvas! Marvin rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Mendez finish him?!
Mendez ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Marvin out cold! The fight is over!
