The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kyle fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Johnson, pushing him back against the ropes.
Johnson has a couple of punches blocked by Kyle.
Johnson lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Our sources have told us that Johnson has been working on his elbows in the gym.
Kyle tries a knee to the head but Johnson blocks it.
Johnson lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Kyle tries to work over Johnson's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Kyle wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Johnson throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Kyle blocks it with crossed arms.
Johnson lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Kyle.
A battle for position here, against the ropes.
Kyle throws an elbow but it misses.
Johnson landing some nice looking knees to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Johnson gets through Kyle's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

It looks like Owen Kyle has been cut.

Kyle is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes.

Johnson lands a right hand that snaps the head of Kyle backwards.
The referee is keeping an eye on Johnson - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Johnson unloads a knee to the mid-section.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Johnson takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Johnson lands a right hand that snaps the head of Kyle backwards.
Johnson lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Johnson creates a bit of space for himself and unleashed what can only be described as a tiger uppercut, straight out of Street Fighter! Kyle crashes to the mat! Can he make it back to his feet in time? 3,4,5, yes, he's made it back to his feet. He seems OK so it looks like we're going to continue!

Johnson closes the distance and pushes Kyle back into the ropes.
Kyle is looking to control Johnson's arms but Johnson gets an underhook and turns him. Now Kyle has his back to the ropes.
Kyle wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Johnson scores a nice knee to the body.
Kyle looks winded!
Still in the clinch, Johnson scores with a nice short uppercut.

Kyle is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Johnson is keeping busy.
Kyle is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the ropes.
Johnson crunches a lovely knee into Kyle's ribcage.
