Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between William Wooden (ranked 4223 p4p, 407 weight class) and Gun Seok Bak (ranked 7183 p4p, 548 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Bak's choice of entrance music: Leader, Just Give Us Your Order!. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, William Wooden!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gun Seok Bak!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Ivan Kurochkin and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bak bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Wooden darts in looking for a takedown but Bak gets double underhooks and turns Wooden into the cage.
A right-left combo lands from Bak.
Sloppy strikes from Bak. Those never looked like landing.
Wooden thows a left - swing and a miss!
As Wooden backs off Bak throws a huge counter combo but Wooden manages to avoid it all.
Wooden misses with a jab to the body
letting Bak counter with a right hand.
Wooden throws a jab but it's blocked by Bak.
Bak throws a body shot but no joy.
Wooden throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Bak feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Woodens jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Bak connects with a body shot.
Wooden definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Bak with a jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Wooden is defended easily by Bak.
Jab, jab by Bak - just one landing.

Bak moves away from the strike by Wooden.
William Wooden seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A jab from Bak misses.
Wooden throwing a counter right hand but Bak manages to avoid it.
Wooden throws a jab when Bak was well out of range.
A little jabbing left from Bak on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
A swing and a miss from Wooden.
Wooden moves out of range as Bak strikes.
Gun Seok Bak is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Wooden throws a sloppy body shot
and Bak counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Bak lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Bak swings for the body but Wooden moves out of range.
Wooden takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Wooden rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Bak counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Bak lands a jab-cross combination.


Wooden is rocked!
A slow jab from Wooden misses its intended target.
Oh Wooden is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Wooden throws a right hand that misses
and Bak counters with a stiff right hand.
Wooden misses with an uppercut. Bak saw that one coming.
Wooden seems to have got his legs back now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bak lands a jab.
Bak lands with an uppercut that bounces Wooden off the cage and back into range.
Wooden staying out of range there.
Nice uppercut there from Bak.
Wooden takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Bak avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Bak is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Wooden with a body shot.
Bak is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Wooden had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Bak bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Wooden has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Wooden there as he acknowledges the shot.
Wooden throws a jab but it's blocked by Bak.
Bak catches Wooden with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Wooden misses the body punch
and Bak counters with a straight right hand.
Bak fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Bak misses with the combination.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A swing and a miss from Wooden.
Bak throws a left and a right that both miss

and Wooden decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bak's guard.
Wooden throwing strikes but missing.
Wooden stops Bak from standing up.
Wooden not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Wooden works over Bak with some ground and pound from guard.
Wooden keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Bak's head.
Wooden with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Wooden lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Bak manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Wooden has Bak pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Wooden pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Bak tumbling to the mat - Wooden dives into Bak's guard.

Bak pushes Wooden off and gets back to his feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bak avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Bak lands a body shot.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Wooden misses with an uppercut. Bak saw that one coming.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Bak! But no joy.
Wooden throws a body shot but no joy.
Wooden throws a looping overhand right but Bak ducks down to avoid it.
Wooden takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Wooden gets a takedown into half guard.
Bak is looking to get back to is feet but Wooden passes into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bak parries the strikes from Wooden easily there. Wooden is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Bak to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bak is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Wooden has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
Wooden lands a nice forearm strike.
Wooden is working Bak over with some ground and pound from side control.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Wooden tries to score with some ground and pound. Bak controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Bak is trying to buck Wooden off.
Wooden scores with a couple of short elbows.
Bak really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wooden. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Wooden creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gun Seok Bak dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Wooden shoots for a double leg takedown but Bak sprawls well. He's pushed Wooden's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Wooden needs to keep his hands up - Bak had a free shot at his head there.
Wooden walks into a straight right hand from Bak.
Gun Seok Bak is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Bak smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Bak stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Wooden throws out a loose jab but Bak uses good head movement to avoid it.
Wooden looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
A jab from Bak misses.
Bak dips to his left and cracks Wooden with an uppercut!
Bak bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Wooden fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bak avoids it really well and circles away.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bak swinging wildly here.
Wooden takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bak staying out of range there.
Wooden walks into a straight right hand from Bak.
Bak connects with a right that clearly hurt Wooden. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Bak proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Wooden collapses and taps out under the pressure!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gun Seok Bak!
A less than humble Gun Seok Bak misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
